After qualifying in 2007 with a first-class honours degree in Podiatry, I joined Independent Vascular Services, as a research assistant as part of the Alzheimer’s study. During my time working on this study, I began training as a vascular scientist. In 2009 I took over the role as a research manager and went on to successfully coordinate a number of exciting projects. In 2012 I was invited to become an executive director with IVS with the specific goal of further developing the use of 3D ultrasound in the vascular lab. I have also been a member of the professional standards committee of the Society of vascular technology of Great Britain and Ireland. In 2015 I joined the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and was responsible for setting up and running the vascular studies lab.
